In June of 2024, TiP invited Zine expert Janna Aldaraji to facilitate a workshop on zine making – the history and politics and purpose of zines. TiP had prepared by creating some genres of zine pages we could imagine making together, building on the 2018 publication of the TiP Magazine.
With Janna’s support and the assistance of artist Naho Matsuda, we then printed our zine with Spektakel Press, on Gartnergade in Copenhagen. Former Head of TiP Rachel Douglas-Jones shared the zine with diverse publics in August 2025 at the Gartnergade Zinevest, a one day celebration of zines, comics, prints art books and other books. This allowed us to have discussions with members of the public about research activities, life at the IT University of Copenhagen, academic working conditions and research communication strategies.
