ITU Teaching Award for Laura Watts and Rachel Douglas-Jones

At the close of the year event in 2016, ITU’s Vice Chancellor Mads Tofte gave out a teaching award to two Technologies in Practice researchers, Laura Watts and Rachel Douglas-Jones. The award was based on the development of a successful new course, Writing Innovation Studio, available as an elective on the MSc degree program Digital Innovation and Management.

The course is based around anthropological and STS literature on the role and politics of written documents in organisations, and it is a studio based course during which students develop a portfolio of writing.
